Thank you Erika, I am delighted that you have selected me as one of your tags for this interview challenge.  I am very honored that you thought of House of Heart.

Erika @ https://erikakind.wordpress.com/ is a fabulous lady with a remarkable and stunning blog, enlightening and inspiring, a definite day brightener that I would not miss!  I am not good at talking about myself (is anyone buying that?) but hold on to your hat once I get started.

How did you get into blogging?
It was suggested to me by a friend who has a blog here.  We met on a poetry forum and he demanded asked me kindly to start a blog with him.    I would love to offer a  higher purpose but hey, you asked!

What advice would you give to a blogger just starting out?

Write for yourself. Enjoy your blog. Even if you use it as a journal, it is great therapy.  If you are looking to improve your writing skills it is fantastic workshopping, there is  much to be gained by reading others work, it is a wonderful learning experience and a source of beauty. This applies to art, photography, and all things that interest you.  I would also strongly suggest that you join a workshopping forum if you are a writer/poet.

What would be your dream campaign?

To encourage those who can to join in programs that assist those who are in need, the homeless, the hungry, especially abused children…all  humans and creatures who are challenged  and could use a helping hand.

Do you have a plan for your blog?

My plan is to continue to use my blog to express myself, to interact with others of similar interests.   I am drawn to those who  appreciate the beauty of writing, of poetry,  painting and artwork, fine photography, et al.

What do you think about rankings?

I am not competitive. I don’t have a real interest in rankings. I feel there should be recognition of quality work. Outside of  that I leave it to the go-getters.

I would love to nominate the following to participate in this interview:

Gill McGrath

Daily Echo

Rethinking Life

reocochran

nicodemasplusthree

SUCCESS INSPIRER

Baydreamer

Harbin77

GPCox

Aquileana

No pressure  nominees, but it is fun.

  1. I held my breath when it came to the nominees. Thank you for not nominating me, Holly. I really have so much on my platter right now. Anyways, in reading your responses I very much agree with your reason to blog for in the 3 years I have been on WP, I have grown dramatically mostly due to being subjected to incredible talent found here on WP, which in turn assisted me to improve both my writing skills and my photography skills. Thank you for sharing yourself a little bit. I see you are a philanthropist at Heart, which comes as no surprise to me. Much Love, my friend, and keep up the great work you do. (((HUGS))) Amy ❤

      • My friend, I was actually on the couch for days unable to move much at all, just wracked with pain and spiraling downward towards depression. I made the monumental decision to get off the couch and once again live Life. Death is a part of Life. And my precious Molly is no longer suffering so now I have to figure out how to put the pieces of my Life back together and how to best help her brothers and sisters get over this loss. I also have another cat who needs ear surgery and I have to be very observant as to when. This growth is really big and bleeding, so it is not like I have a lot of time. Yet with all the traumas this cat has experienced, plus the fact she is 15 years old and FIV+, I have to make sure she can withstand surgery and recover from it. I rest when my body tires, I really do. Compared to last week I am doing 105% better. ❤ ❤ ❤

  2. Thank you, Holly. This was a wonderful post, hard to follow a great act. I would say yes maybe in the winter and not quite so pressed for time, please. I work at auto parts warehouse and have even changed my blog so I don’t get so stressed. I am playing “catch up” on blogs and feel guilty. . . Thanks for your consideration. 🙂
