opus

Even in December

the pines ooze amber resin,

dragonflies flit atop flowers

growing wild beneath a trellis,

overgrown with jasmine,

a pungent scent once pleasant

reeks a syrupy sweetness into

nocturnal air.

 

In the branches of an evergreen

throngs of songbirds gather,

they sing their sweet cantilena,

create the  finest opus.

Below the swaying clouds

hands reach up to cherubs,

expecting rhyme to fall like stars

Into my begging mind.

 

Each day I am rewritten

a story left unfinished,

an abandoned lover

waiting at a rendevous.

I lend my  yielding ear to

the songbirds overture,

the beauty of their masterpiece

makes it easier to bear.

    Un oiseau viens de s’envoler


    Chez toi il vas se poser
    Pour t’apporte mon amitié avec de la chaleur en cette période des fêtes
