Love

is not selfless nor soothing

but a siren reaching out from

dark shadows of doubt.

Nowhere near gentle,

a flare hidden in fire,

claiming her privilege

whenever she desires.

A cynical traveler,

when she grows weary

she never hesitates

to move on.

  1. Reblogged this on Neues vom Hutschi and commented:
    Heartafire:
    Liebe

    ist weder selbstlos noch beruhigend
doch eine Sirene die dich ruft
aus den dunklen Schatten des Zweifels.
    in keiner Weise sanft,
    eine Flamme in Feuer versteckt,
    setzt sie ihre Privilegien durch,
    wann immer sie will.
    Eine zynischer Reisende,
    wenn sie ermüdet
    zögert sie nicht,
    weiterzuschreiten.

  2. OH my Holly I love this! I so apologize for not visiting like I used to! I think I told you my daughter went blind 11 weeks ago so I’ve been in the oddest place really not visiting at all but I wanted to come by and leave something for you to think about. If you stop blogging then what if there is something you say that lifts anthers spirit like mine or that mom that needs to remember something she forgot about herself. There is healing in that kindred mom spirit I believe. I just wanted to share that and perhaps you might take that with you knowing that you touched so many! You do me. I love this piece! Hugs and love to you! Michelle

    • Michelle, I didn’t know that your daughter is having this problem. My heart is going out to you and your daughter and family and praying for a good outcome for her. Don’t worry for a moment about doing anything but taking care of yourself and her. Thank you for the encouraging words. I am a little “crazy” right now, my good friend is very ill. That’s my excuse. Thank you for visiting me and letting me know about your daughter, my most positive thoughts and prayers go out to both of you. Hugs and much love coming your way from me. Holly

      • OH I just called Gigi because she mentioned it yesterday and I wanted to ask her if you were okay. I’m so happy to hear from you! I know how it is when one has someone sick it’s hard to focus on anything at all. Much love to you and your sweet friend! I’m sending healing prayers your way! 😀 Michelle
